The course is 600 clock hours in length. Approximately one third of the course time is devoted to practical and technical instruction in the areas of Manual and Electrical Facials, Hair removal, Eyebrow arching, Make-up, Eyelash Application and California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Act Rules and regulations. The balance of the course time is spent on the clinic floor. Following is a list of the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology's minimum required subjects, hours and operations.

ESTHETICIAN COURSE

600 hours, Contract Period - 15 weeks (extra full time)
600 hours, Contract Period - 22 weeks (full time)
600 hours, Contract Period - 33 weeks (part time) evening
Tuition is based on $12.00 per hour

**Includes all required equipment, supplies, books and materials necessary to complete the specific course of study within the enrollment period. It includes a smock, but not personal effects, such as shoes and clothing.

Financial Aid may be available toward your tuition. Government grants and or Student Loans. For your convenience, with the assistance of a director, all financial assistance is done at the school. Call to make an appointment to see if you qualify.

8:30 - 2:30 = 5½ months of training 6:00 - 10:00 = 7 months of training
8:30 - 5:00 = 3½ months of training


TESTING, COUNSELING, AND PROGRESS REPORTS
Students are examined academically, counseled and given a progress report at the completion of:

Cosmetology = 400, 800, 1200, and 1600 hours
Manicuring = 60, 200, and 400 hours
Esthetician = 90, 300 and 600 hours
Teacher Training = 200, 400, and 600 hours

       Any student may request individual counseling regarding progress at any time during the course. Students must maintain a "C" average on exams and practical work in order to successfully progress. Please see the satisfactory progress policy for a full explanation.
